It’s hard to get to know someone and what they value online. Here’s a list of things I’m learning that hopefully gives you a sense of who I am.

- Every game in life is just you vs you. It’s you vs the voice in your head.
- Cherish the days where your friends are close and down to hang. It’s magical when your life paths align, because it only becomes rarer as you get older (source)
- Validation-based metrics of self worth will always fail since they are fully out of your control. Measure yourself by things that are in your control.
- Don’t ever let someone tell you you’re not good enough. Not your friends, not your parents, not even yourself. Protect your dreams.
2024
- My social battery is only depleted from a lack of genuineness, otherwise there’s no limit
- The more you trust yourself, the more yourself you become.
- Vulnerability and complaining are two different things — one aims to make a connection with the other person, the other seeks validation. Be vulnerable, but don’t complain. (related: Only complain if it helps you relate to someone else or it’s a funny story. It is never enjoyable to hear otherwise.)
- Confidence is what gives you the ability to be more true to yourself. Aim to raise your own confidence and the confidence of those around you.
- Always doing what you say will make you a happier and less stressed person.
2023
- The ‘purity’ of your motivators doesn’t matter as long as you’re motivated and you have good values.
- The best people are able to keep their standards extremely high for everything they do for long periods of time without letting in.
- Strive to bring happiness to the world, and remember that when interacting with people.
- Try to avoid over-stimulating yourself with too much media / music / etc. Keeping your status-quo on the lower end of stimulation helps you avoid addictive tendencies. But also don’t keep strict rules with these :)
- Paying attention to how your self-talk changes your behavior can be a big productivity boost.
- Everything is a skill, it’s just a matter of putting enough work into it to learn it.
